Welcome back to National Parks and other public lands with T!
The Corn Palace was built in 1892 as advertisement to farmers to settle and farm in the area. The building is covered in mosaics, inside and out, made up of multi-colored ears of corn. The Corn Palace is part of Mitchell’s National Historic District and was a good, albeit corny, pit-stop on our road-trip across the state of South Dakota.
