The last stop on our Best of Kona excursion was to the Royal Kona Coffee Center. We are not really coffee drinkers, but when in Kona…

This place is mostly a tourist trap, but they have lots of free samples, including some of their teas and rum cake in case coffee isn’t your thing. And there are displays on the deck overlooking the bay explaining how the coffee is grown and processed.

    1. Hi! I have, but no pics so the memory isn’t good. Main hike we did: rode shuttle up to Glacier point and hiked down 8 miles to the village. Thought that would be easy, but it nearly killed me and it took the whole day. It was very scenic and might have been enjoyable had I been in better shape or brought enough water. Not sure if what I’m talking about is even open this time of year…isn’t there snow?

      1. Thank you!
We will probably do a different hike. lol Only one of us (my husband) has that kind of stamina!
Not much snow actually, only a few crusty, dirty patches. At this point, it looks like it’s going to be a drought year in California.
