Welcome back to National Parks and other public lands with T!
Take a Virtual Cruise Around Mt. Desert Island»
The National Park Service has created a nice interactive multimedia experience to allow us to sail around the waters of Acadia National Park from the comfort of our armchairs. Click this link and then choose the high speed version, unless you are unfortunate enough to still be in dial-up mode, then choose that one. Your browser may object to the version of Flash the presentation uses…I simply tweaked my settings to allow it and then I was good to go. Look for the video and audio icons on each slide to see video clips, ranger talks and hear the sounds of the native wildlife. Enjoy!
When visiting Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island in Maine, there are lots of sights to see in Frenchman Bay and beyond. Marine wildlife, historic lighthouses and wildlife refuges are plentiful in the waters off the coast. The only way to see some of these things is by boat…and now by eCruise.
