Welcome back to National Parks and other public lands with T!
We passed through Kennedy Park in the quaint Vermont town of Brandon after visiting the Hammond Covered Bridge. Brandon is full of history with 246 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places.
It is also a haven for artists. Plein air painters often set up in Kennedy Park. The park overlooks Neshobe Falls.
The falls are man-made. The buildings across the river from the park were once owned by the Brandon Mill and Lumber Company.
We walked around the small park and Center Street while we waited for our table at Cafe Provence. Cafe Provence offers dog-friendly outdoor dining on their European-style patio. Enjoying our gourmet lunch in this setting reminded me of another long ago lunch in the lovely French village of Chablis.
