Diverse NPS►
I am part of a coalition of fellow park enthusiasts dedicated to promoting diversity and equity in our public lands. We’ve been collaborating on posts since mid 2020.
Each month, our group spotlights a relevant organization. These organizations are working to bridge the gap between outdoor spaces and underrepresented communities. This year’s features include:
- Jan: Latino Outdoors
- Feb: Outdoor Afro
- Mar: Hike Clerb
- Apr: Indigenous Environmental Network
- May: Outdoor Asian
- June: Soul River
- July: Cultural Survival
- Aug: Climate Justice Alliance
- Sept: Native Conservancy
During the month of September, we are highlighting the work of Wild Diversity in our community effort to showcase organizations who are working towards social justice, environmental action, and more inclusive public lands.

About Wild Diversity►
Wild Diversity is a nonprofit organization that aims to help create a personal connection to the outdoors for Black, Indigenous, all People of Color (BIPOC) & the LGBTQ2S+ communities, through outdoor adventures and education.
Wild Diversity’s goal is to welcome and create a sense of belonging in the outdoors for the BIPOC & LGBTQ+ communities. Through outdoor adventures and guiding they work to build community, through workshops and their gear library they provide resources, all to better equip the next generation by creating equitable access and education to the outdoors for youth of color, and queer, trans and low-income youth.
Their programing is wide reaching, including leadership training, youth ecology programing, group adventures, and BIPOC conservation programs, helping to create the next generation of conservationists.
